Brown Crake

The brown crake, or brown bush-hen, is a waterbird in the rail and crake family found in South Asia. The origin of the species name akool is uncertain: it may come from Hindu mythology, or from the Sinhalese word kukkula, which is used for both moorhen and watercock (Wikipedia, general species account).

The cached account is very short and gives no description, measurements or breeding information (Wikipedia, general species account).
