Yellow-breasted Greenfinch

The yellow-breasted greenfinch is a finch 12 to 14cm long and weighing 15 to 21g, with a brown conical bill, bright yellow wing bars and bright yellow underparts. The sexes look similar, though females are less brightly coloured. It lives in temperate forest and shrubland, mainly at mid-altitudes in the Himalaya (Wikipedia, general species account).

It is recorded from Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam. Vigors described it in 1831, and two subspecies are recognised, the Himalayan form and the Indian form heinrichi. The source gives no diet, behaviour or breeding detail (Wikipedia, general species account).
