The yellow-browed tit is the smallest member of the tit family and the only species in its genus, 9–10 cm long and 5–9 g. It has a small bill, a short tail, strong legs and greenish feathers, olive-green from crown to back with a slightly greyer forehead, greyish-brown wings and tail with green edges and a faint yellow at the base of the tail, and an olive-green face with yellow flecks (Wikipedia, general species account).
The song is short and high-pitched, transcribed as tsit, psit or pit, or as a harsher chip or tchup. The diet is not well documented, and both parents feed the chicks and may become defensive when protecting their young. The clutch is typically four to six eggs (Wikipedia, general species account).
