Basic stats

Range

India (Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra); Reptile Database also lists Nepal

The Laudankia vine snake is a snake in the family Colubridae. The source opened calls it endemic to India and rare, but with a relatively large range from the Eastern Ghats through central India west to eastern Rajasthan. Its name comes from the Odia word laudanka, meaning the dried stems of bottle gourd, which the thin brownish snake closely resembles (Wikipedia, general species account).

The Reptile Database lists Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Nepal, which disagrees with the Wikipedia statement that it is endemic to India, so its occurrence in Nepal is flagged for checking. No size, diet or breeding information was found.
