Basic stats

Range

Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines

Rohu's bat, also called the short-winged pipistrelle, is a vesper bat and the only species in the genus Philetor. The one-line source opened lists it from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines, which makes Nepal a very isolated record at the edge of an otherwise Southeast Asian range (Wikipedia, general species account).

The Mammal Diversity Database does not list Nepal for it, so the record is flagged for checking. No description, size, diet or habits were found in the sources opened, so none is stated. Nationally Vulnerable (Nepal National Red List 2011).
