The white-browed tit-warbler is a tiny bird, 8.5–10 cm long and 6–8 g. Males are vibrantly coloured with blue-mauve underparts, and both sexes have a light brown crown and a white eyebrow, with a violet-blue rump and upper tail coverts; females are duller with pale underparts, while males have violet-blue underparts and chest. It is resident in the Tian Shan and central China and is found in the Himalaya mainly in winter (Wikipedia, general species account).
It prefers dry mountainous shrubland between 2,000 and 5,000 m, placing its dome-shaped nest in shrubs about 0.9 m up, and incubation lasts around 20.5 days. Pairs live together in the breeding season but the birds join flocks of 25 or more at its end. A study in Tibet found that it begins breeding before any other local songbird, generally early April to July, and breeding is delayed as elevation increases (Wikipedia, general species account).
