Japalura kumaonensis, the Kumaon mountain lizard or Kumaon forest agama, is an agamid lizard found in northern India, Pakistan, Nepal and Tibet. It was described from specimens collected at Mussoorie and at Nainital in the Kumaon division, and the second locality gave the species its name (Wikipedia, general species account).

The sources opened for this species give only its range and naming history, with nothing on size, colour, habitat, diet or breeding, so none of those is stated. The entry is kept short rather than padded with details from related mountain lizards.
