The variegated mountain lizard, or Himalayan dragon, is an agamid lizard found in northern India, Bhutan and Nepal. The head is covered above with small, irregular, keeled shields and the canthus rostralis is sharp. Both sexes have a nuchal crest of triangular lobes that continues along the back as a slight serrated ridge, and fades on the front part of the tail (Günther 1864, as reported on Wikipedia).

The throat is covered with small keeled scales and a series of small shields starts at the chin and runs back parallel to the lower lip shields. The sources opened give nothing on size, habitat, diet or breeding, so none is stated. The entry is short rather than padded.
